I recently saw that we could use the modifer 22 with CPT 59841 2nd tri aboriton; I don't think it is appropriate to use on every procedure 15 weeks and above.  How do I know when I can use this modifier?

When using modifier 22 it can be appended to procedures that require services that are above and beyond the normal service.  The induced labor by D&E could require circumstances above and beyond what is normally done.  If so when using this mod.  make sure your documentation supports it, what was done aditionally and why
