Anyone have any feedback on NueMD? I'm looking for billing software and this one seemed pretty good from what I could see in the free demo.

Hi,

I did the free demo as well. I really like the software but I did not like the price. I think it is $1500 down and then a certain amount a month per provider.  I wasn't sure if updates were free though.

This software is by far the best software I have used in my 17 years of medical billing!  And there product support is phenomenal.  I highly suggest using NueMD, they are fabulous!!!

I know two docs from separate practices that didn't like it at all but it seems to be a good program for billing services except for the price.  Bruce Osterle (not sure of the spelling of the last name) is very helpful over there.  If you are looking for something more affordable then try finding a software company that doesn't charge by provider, but rather by user.  If you are a solo biller then you could use a product like TotalMD where they would charge you only $99 a month for as many providers as you would like.  It is a great pricing structure for a lot of billing services. It is certainly worth looking into in my opinion.

NueMD has received much positive feedback from itsusers. It is rated as one of the best medical practice software.  It includes features such as online eligibility verification, claims submission, reporting, and analysis.

I am actually thinking about going with Total MD but they do not have EMR/EHR yet so I have been holding off.

Yes, that is definitely a bummer.  They link to a few EMR companies but I'd much rather have a completely integrated program.  I had a doctor friend of mine call them because he wanted his own system and he asked them which EMRs they work with and there is only 10 or so.  He did say that the guy he spoke to said they did not have their own EMR at the moment.  The wording makes me think they might be coming up with something.  I'll probably need to call in the next little bit to see if they have any plans for anything.  If anyone knows if they are creating their own then please let me know, otherwise I'll have to try to find out for myself.

They are getting their own EHR  ;)

I spoke with them last month and the rep said it will be debuting around April.
