Dear Michele,
I would like to ask if we need authorization for eletric cardioversion anesthesia, patient has MED as primary insurance and UHC as secondary.

Straight Medicare doesn't do preauthorization, it's either a covered service or not. UHC you will need to check on. I would call both Medicare and UHC to see if the cpt codes are covered and what is required.
