Hi guy's
I need advice on the best way to back-up all my e-mail messages and settings onto a new desktop.
I use outlook 2007

I'm sorry Marge.  I was hoping someone else would answer you.  I'm not good with backup.  I have scheduled backups daily, but I really don't know how to set up email backup.

Outlook uses a data file called a pfc file, that file is what you want to transfer/copy. But I would follow the instructions by Microsoft. If you go to Outlook and open the help menu there should be instructions for where the folder resides.
You can also look into add-in's for Outlook to backup your data files.
