Hi,
I'm not familiar with any software specifically for Home Health Billing, but we have used Lytec for the past 15 years and are happy with it.  But we are also working with a new software company that is developing a web based software that we are very excited about.  I'm not sure how quickly you need to obtain your software.

If you are interested in the Lytec we use a reseller, Deanna McMerty, 732-780-6896.

Thank you Michelle, for the reply. I heard that there is a medicare free software that you can use to submit electronic claims directly to them.. do you (or somebody else on the forum ) have any experience using that kind and how does it work?

I am trying to use the free medicare software that was referred to and it is not working for me.  I worked for six hours yesterday trying to make it work.  If I was able to enter something in one box it would take it out of another. I have decided to use one of the billing software systems offered on the internet.  I used Speedy Claims free 7 day trial and am thinking about purchasing.  Does anyone know anything about them.  They are a little more expensive than the others at 179.00

We did use the free Medicare software when we first started.  It was ok, the biggest complaints were that it was a DOS program at the time, and we had to double enter everything in order to track it.  (After entering into Medicare software and submitting we had to enter into practice management system to track.)

I'm assuming now it is no longer dos.

1katie2, if you are having that much trouble getting it to work did you try calling Medicare for help?  When we used ours they actually sent someone out to set it up and make sure we could use it.  Then we could call them whenever we had a problem.

As far as Speedysoft, I am familiar with them.  I am not familiar with the others so I can't speak as to the difference in price but I can say we have found Speedysoft to be very good to deal with.  Also, Speedysoft is suppose to have tracking capabilities so that may be the difference.  You might want to check it out, I haven't worked directly with the software, just with the company.  You can reach their website at https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?ii=71532&c=ib&aff=20507&ev=67aff3d666
