: Loco Tenum Provider Billing

I have a doctor who is about to go out on maternity leave.  She has another doctor who will be covering her practice, seeing her patients in her office.  Seems to me that there are specific modifiers to put on the claims to indicate that the work is being done by a 'covering doctor' - is that right?  Also, does she bill out under her name or the loco tenum Provider's name?   Any and all input appreciated!

Yes, you need a modifier, which is Q6, and yes, the regular providers NPI goes on the claim.
