: DME & Medical Software

OK, I am back to researching again. I am looking for a software (prefer web based) that will offer the ability to do DME as well as Medical billing. Now what I am using can do that, however with DME narratives are required (Medicare Billing) and I haven't been able to find something yet that will allow that. If anyone has knowledge of any please let me know, but I feel I may end up with 2 software programs!!

The DME medical billing company I worked for when I had my stroke, used Zirmed.  I liked it.  You can use it at home in addition to logging in at the office. Its accessable on the internet at www.zirmed.com

I thought Zirmed was a clearinghouse?  Did they come out with a software?  went to their website www.zirmed.com and didn't see anything.

I have a client that uses Star Pro. She loves it - it is very DME specific. I remotely access her software and do the billing. The website for the software is www.sterlingstar.com. Star Pro is a server based system.

Also, www.brightree.com offers a web based solution for DME billing. I have not used them though only looked into the product a little for a prospective client.

I have knowledge of a lot that do DME or HME only....I am in search of one that will be useful to do both DME and also Medical is my dilema. I am not seeking to use 2 systems, but I may have to. Most suppliers only target the 1 audience. I use Brightree for medicare eligibility verifications. and TeamDME for DME billing.

I am very unfamiliar (by choice) with DME, however the billing companies I know that do DME have another system for various other clients OR they just do DME. That sort of tells me right there that an all in one may not be the way to go as DME has a lot of quirks and additional features you need.  Of course once or twice a year I am known to be wrong.. lol

ha ha...I don't think it is this time. I haven't found one, but was hoping. I found some that are OUTDATED systems, and not dealing with that. I will unfortunately be using 2. Now you can use dME with medical software, depending on what you are billing. if your software has the capabilities to add narratives, you are good. DME is just set up for providers differently because of the billing system.
