I need to project our anticipated cash receipts. Do you know how long it takes for Medicare DMERC B to process their payments? Do they publish this information?

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your question. Medicare Part B DMERC takes 14 days to process claims submitted electronically, and 28 days to process paper claims. I’m not sure if it is published or not, but I would think it is. It is something they use as an incentive for providers to submit claims electronically. Usually the checks are actually received 16 days after the claims are submitted (electronically). Hope this is helpful.
