Micro Managing
« on: February 21, 2012, 05:26:18 PM »
I have a provider who likes to micro micro micro manage his employees.  I have a contract with him to help with his billing.  I go in to his office a couple hours a day to help out and now he just hired someone with no billing experience and wants me to come in and work more hours to help train her.  I have other clients as well.  How do I explain this to the provider without coming off as harsh?

Thanks.

The words "No, I'm sorry, I don't provide this service in my contract" works good.  I can't tell you how many times this goes on. I do offer training/consulting outside of the contract if I'm doing the billing, but not without being paid. I charge an hourly rate and there is a separate contract involved.
