Provider ordered:
METHYLPREDNISOLONE SUCC 125MG/2ML INJ INJECT 125MG
       (2ML) INTRAMUSULARLY (IM) ONCE

HCPCS book states:
J2930 Injection, methylprednisolone sodium succinate, up to 125 mg.
Use this code for Solu-Medrol, A-methaPred. (also has Quantity Alert)

My question is the units, If the provider orders with 2ML should the units be #2 unit, coders say #1 unit

coders are saying the 2ml is a total of 125 mg. So I understand that as 62.5 mg per ML....

over analyzing and just confused??

I would still use quantity 1 as it says that it is up to 125. Just my opinion. Coders?
