« on: April 20, 2015, 11:32:29 PM »
I didn't think it would be this tough to get new clients 10 years ago it was real easy now it's not as easy since EMR/EHR companies are taking over and providing billing services at a lower rate I have pretty much done everything from marketing in the mail, telemarketing, sales rep went to a few local conferences networked created a website, SEO :( and my phone still isn't ringing after 13 years in business I may have to go back to work. Any ideas I haven't tried

Hi Tammy,

I understand your frustration with aquiring clients.  It's been a definite journey the past 8 months marketing services as I am coming across the same issues, definitely frustrating especially when you're researching the job market and all you see is the need for coders and billers. :(

Tammy - There seems to be more competition now than there was 10 years ago. Start up's are competing with large billing companies with access to massive advertising budgets. I can sympathize with your situation, but that is the reality of the business. Whatever you do for marketing, keep going.  Persistence pays.

Tammy, have you tried adding consulting services? If I do a marketing I usually focus on consulting to get my foot in the door. I don't believe the EMR/EHR vendors have any advantage at all over those of us who have been in business and have built a good solid reputation. Shift the focus of your marketing to MORE than just billing. Think outside the box. Also don't be afraid to send out your resume, I still do to every potential client!
