I got another contract - WOO HOO! I will start billing for her July 1st. She currently has a biller but wasn't happy so she is going with me! This is the first time I've taken "over" a contract from another biller so it's a little different for me. If we submitted the necessary paperwork to Medicare and ValueOptions now switching her billing to me, will that interfere with her current biller who will still be doing her billing for the month of June?

That's wonderful Traci!

You will just need to get the CMS 855I and change billing agent (Medicare)

Nothing else should be a problem if you are taking over on a certain date.

My best advice though is to stay out of any and all issues between the old billing company and the provider.

DITTO!!!!

Many times the provider thinks it's "no big deal" to ask the new biller to get info from the old biller.  To me it's like the new wife asking the ex-wife for recipes that her husband likes.   :-\

I know. I always tell them right off the bat I don't get involved in another contractual relationship at ALL!!! Not even a call to say bye bye. LOL
