thank you guys. I find it difficult to find ( work from home for someone not sure what i am doing wrong ). I have been in the business for 25 years, I am at a point i would like to be at home doing it. I have recovered quite a bit of money where i work now but would love the luxury of being home. fear of the unknown.

we all fear the unknown....I worked full time until my business took off. I have a tentative retirement date of 01/11/11, but 1 more client, and I have no choice but to leave sooner.  It was easier for me to do recovery from home  with my full time job, than full practice management. Most of the recovery could be done via the net.

I wouldn't call that "retirement" LOL
If so I would have been retired for 14 years now. LOL  But I get it  ;)

OK Charlene, I'm coming to hold hands with you while I go through Craigslist.   ;D   I've sent a lot of responses but only 2 bites one resulting in a client.  I'm staying with it though along with other means of finding clients.

I'm curious what you all are sending in response to Craigs List job posts.

Do you fax youre resume indicating that you're an independent biller? Do you just email them and offer your services? Do you use a marketing flyer?

I've sent multiple responses - not really consistent though. I did get one bite, but it never went anywhere. My biggest problem is that I'm not sure what is appropriate to respond with, so I don't. And it aggravates me because I know that there are missed opportunites.

Any suggestions?

I have gotten all of my clients off of craigs list. I reply with information about my company, and how I can assist them. I have had some to find me via a search engine, but as far as my marketing, Craig's list has done me VERY VERY WELL!!

I also include a link to my website, and a flyer from the PMBA listing me as a DME instructor. It helps confirm my credentials!!
