Billing for a Registered Nurse at a Mental Health Facility

How do you bill for a registered nurse at a mental health facility.

I attempted to credential the nurse for Tricare/BCBS and they stated they do not credential registered nurses. If the RN works at a mental health facility, how does she get reimbursed? I am confused.

Wouldn't the services she provides be included in what the facility bills to insurance? An RN isn't even considered an NPP, so far as I know.

If they services are being billed out on UB04s then the supervising physician or medical director would be indicated on the UB04 form.  If the services are being billed on a CMS1500 then the supervising physician or physician overseeing the RN would be the rendering provider.  RNs are not listed as rendering providers.
