: Non Emergency Transport Billing

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any experience in Non Emergency Transport Billing? If so, is the CMS 1500 form used or the UB92 form, all of the claims will be submitted to Medicaid.

Thanks much,
Bsmedbilling

I believe its done on the CMS but I would check with Medicaid to be sure.

Hello everyone,

I have another question, is the service facility information (To/From Destination) required on the CMS form for non emergency transportation billing?

Thanks,

In my experience, yes.  The POS for the transport will be to where you transported, not from where. For example, if the patient was transported from her home to a hospital, the POS is the hospital.

Also, in my experience, Medicaid does not reimburse for this service (at least not for midwives).  I'd check the fee schedule before billing.
