kinesio tape

Does anyone know what modifier can be used for kinesio taping?  This is being performed by a Chiropractor.  An insurance carrier is specifically denying for this reason.

There isn't a modifier that is specific to kinesio tape, but are they denying it as included in the primary procedure?  You could use the 59 modifier if that is the case, but I'm not sure what they are looking for.

Yes -they are denying it as part of a procedure.  I will try the 59 modifier.

Thank you,
