I don't know about anyone else, but I find it quite upsetting when someone comes here to where we give our valuable time to help out fellow members, only to see posts like this. As a moderator, I just removed 2 posts from this person for advertising services on behalf of MTBC.  Members should be aware that not everyone visiting here has a pure motive.

Thanks for watching out Linda.  We have no problem with people sharing their thoughts/opinions about softwares or other services but outright advertising is not cool.  You are not giving your true opinion based on your experience, you are giving a sales pitch.

PRMNC, I find your comment very confusing. Why do you find "HAMZA's" post upsetting? (I am planning to use the MTBC EHR for my practice. I have heard that MTBC EHR is a really worth-making investment with specialized and customized features and its much better than other ehr's available around, does anybody have an idea about MTBC ehr......")

I have read in this forum about several softwares and how better there are than others, comparisms and what not (Office Ally, XENA, Practicemate..etc) everyone that have used or have decided to use these softwares and no one was upset about advertising for these softwares!!! SO WHY do you find this upsetting and delete 2 other post from the member?

I humbly and honestly dont mean any disrecpect to you and to anyone else, I find your advice/post very imformative and very helpful. However, your tone is very harsh at times while delivering what you have to offer (Yes i know its a harsh world out there) and just demeaning others, especially NEWBIES. As a Moderator, you can take a lesson from Michele and Alice on how they respond to people without making others think they asked a dumb questions or shouldnt ask a question. we are all here to learn from each other but your response always seems like you are attacking whoever ask a question.

With these a lot of NEWBIES just tend to be in "ROM" only and not write/post any comments.

Thanks

The two posts I removed, were of an ADVERTISING nature from this same person who in this post proclaims to want to use it and "heard" it was a good software.. as a moderator I removed the advertisement posts. If you don't find that a little decieving well, I'm sorry, but it didn't go over my head and it wouldn't go over the heads of most of the "regular" visitors here.

It has happened often where someone will post and ask for information about a company and then advertise that same company and upon just a tad bit of research find out they work for that company.  It's not uncommon, but you did not see the removed posts, obviously, or else you would agree.

Ultraserve,

The reason that Linda removed the comments was for the reason that you stated:

As a newbie you didn't recognize that these posts were purely advertising and not just an honest opinion of a forum member.  We truly try to provide a place where people can come and not be 'sold' without having the opportunity to hear what people truly think about a product.  Sometimes we (Alice & I) will get excited about a product and recommend it and toot it's horn.  Sometimes we will even recommend one of our products, but only if we feel that it will help the person.  However, there is always the opportunity for others to recommend products unrelated to us as well.  With MTBC EHR, they were clearly from the company trying to sell their product, or at least that is how it appeared.

We have had people contact us and ask if they could mention their company or product and if it is done in good taste and meant to offer information, that is ok.  But this is not just free advertising.  Then there are those who try to appear innocent and mention their own product as if they are purely a customer trying to share their opinion.  We may not always be right, but when we see one that we feel is just trying to advertise we remove it.  Certainly not with the intention of offending any newbies.  :)

Plain and simple it was deceptive, in one post asking if anyone had heard of them and that they were thinking of going with them, and the other posts which I removed out right ADVERTISED it (same person). So that was why I removed it and mentioned it. I also notified the poster of the posts that were removed and why.  That's deceptive, plain and simple.

I never meant to advertise anything here, just had to share my thoughts, i guess my way was not the appropriate one and yes, i would always appreciate unbiased opinions from others, and will do the same as a part of my responsibility.

Hamza, this post was not the problem, the problem was the other post(s) that were removed,  which were clearly blatant advertising.

Because your not getting it..  This was your post here that was left up:

That was not the problem, the problem was that the other posts (removed) were not just tooting MTBC, they were ADVERTISING..and if you look at this post you SAY You have HEARD that MTBC EHR is a really worth-making investment...   THEN (again keeping in mind the posts removed as blatant advertising FOR this company) you write here:  "I just shared my experience and knowledge".. so which is it? You heard about it? you have experience with it?  People come here and while it's great to tell people you like a software and certainly not against the rules, don't falsely mislead people into believing you are interested or experienced with it (you were one or the other in this thread alone) only to turn around and advertise it. That's very deceptive, Mr. Rehman.
