The thought of drafting an agreement for your business amid constantly changing laws and ordinances can be daunting. For those of you struggling with this issue, I can recommend a good 2 step process I used that worked very well:

1. Purchase 'How To Write a Kick Butt Contract For Your Medical Billing Service' by Alice Scott and Michele Redmond. Just contact them on this site to order. It's only a few bucks, but worth it.

2. Look on the internet, print off a few examples, and alter them to fit your needs. Use the information in your coursework as a guide. Once this is done, have an Attorney review it to make sure your agreement complies with the law, and fits your needs. Below are some examples you can use to get some ideas for your own. NOTE*** These are no doubt contracts designed for billing services in states other than your own, it's important to have an Attorney review your final draft before you use it.

I agree! That book brought to my attention a lot of things I wanted included in my contract as well as reminded me of some things I want to avoid.  Very thankful for that book :)
