Rendering provider

I work in a pain management practice in LA. Heres my issue, my doctor(doctor A) is busy as all drs are, he has another doctor(doctor b) coming in on wednesdays and thursdays to see his pts...Doctor A wants me to bill these visits under his provider numbers, even though doctor B was the rendering provider??????

first is this clinic in northeast la?    Is provider b registered with insurance companies for your clinic?

clinic is in Baton Rouge, LA. Doctor B is not affliated with our clinic.

It is illegal for one dr to bill for services provided by another dr.  This is done often when they don't want to go thru the trouble of getting the other dr set up correctly with insurance carriers to be paid under the other dr.
