Medicare payments
« on: February 15, 2012, 06:46:45 PM »
It's been months since we've received a payment from Medicare.  Claims haven't been denied but they don't seem to be processed either.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Is there someone we can contact?  Thanks!

Have you looked to see if there are rejections at the CH level? 5010 problems? I've seen some people with a LOT of problems with Medicare payments due to 5010 rejections and then I've seen others with NO problems which leads me to believe this is an issue on a clearinghouse / software vendor level.  I would start there and then contact Medicare if claims were transmitted.   Clearinghouse reports should be utilized first.

Hello,
I used to have a DME company, "used to" is operative word. We were placed under prepayment audit without notice and only realized it when we stopped being paid and AR was aging. It was a painful process. Good Luck.
