Billing for travelling ultrasound imaging office
« on: March 04, 2010, 02:27:50 PM »
Hi all,

I am in the process of signing a new client.  They are a ultrasound diagnostic imaging office who travels to different clinics and OB/GYN offices to perform ultrasounds.  Does anyone bill for an office of this type?  Any advice regarding billing for diagnostic imaging/ultrasounds etc?

Thanks,

I have some advice...be sure to use the 'TC' modifier with your billing!  But....you may already know this  :)

Yes, if they are just performing the ultrasound, but not reading you must use the TC.  Also, the location that the test was done goes in box 32 (facility) and the imaging company billing info goes in box 33.
