Hi everyone,
How many of you use a online fax service like myfax.com.
The problem is when my fax machine is on I sometimes receive ad's coming through and that wastes ink.
I was thinking of getting a online fax, but again what are your thoughts about putting the number on the website and other marketing materials, because once again if ad's come through and you go over your limit you get charged any advice?

I was thinking about getting online fax service but I'm not sure how that would work if I want to fax. I know I would be receiving fax through my email but what If I want to fax something. Would I still use my fax machine or would I have to scan my documents and attached them to an email message so I can fax them. How does that work really?

Oh My. I am glad you asked. I was in the same boat several months back. I use online fax for incoming faxes. It is totally awesome. The cheapest I found was OneSuite Fax. I think it is $1.99 a month. I just paid like $15 and I don't have to worry about paying for a while. It is awesome. Everything goes to my work email and i open it up and print it. I would never go back to a regular fax to receive now. I have never had any problems on getting all of my faxes neither. I just use my regular fax to fax out, because I don't have to fax alot.(It's just easier for me). Personally, I hate to scan documents for attachments, so I didn't even want to try to mess with that.

You said you use your regular fax to fax out. Do you have a regular fax number to fax out instead of the online number. Is it two different number you're talking about, one to receive and one to fax out.

I guess it would not matter if you are faxing out with another number because as long as the client has your fax number for the online fax to fax documents.

Never used the online fax services, but I guess both have their pro's n cons. As far as ads, I get them and usually call and have the ad's stopped. Its the only way to prevent them. People will fax you regardless. I have my fax number on my site but have never gotten faxes from advertisement. I guess I have been blessed.

We use an online fax service because it is part of our phone service. But prior to that we had our faxes received thru a computer and we only printed the ones we wanted. Saved on ink, paper, etc. Also keeps confidentiality. I do like the online fax service ok, but we have to scan to our email to fax.

I use www.ringcentral.com for my phone service & fax usage. I have unlimited faxing in & out and unlimited minutes on my phone line as well. So far so good.
In the past, I have used www.myfax.com - but they didn't have an unlimited plan - which I really needed.

I currently use Voicenation. So far so good. No problems with the phone line or the online faxing.

I have never used online fax. My server is set up that all faxes, inbound or outbound, goes through the server. When an inbound fax comes through, I can look at all faxes and choose the ones I want to print or even can save in clients electronic chart. I still have a fax machine for times that something needs to be faxed that has nothing to do with a client.

I use Ring Central as well and I love it. It has unlimited fax and phone service. Plus you can utlize an IP phone and create a very nice automated system (phone tree). I would be lost without this service.

** looking into ring central** 800 PBX just went up to 14.99 a month, and the fax service sucks
