I am having a problem getting Medicare to pay for hospital beds because the beginning date of service does not match the date of the delivery ticket. For example we delivered a bed 06/01/2013 but billed with a start date of 06/02/2013. Medicare denies the first claim because the date of service and delivery date don't match, which I understand, but they also deny every month thereafter.
Is there anyway I can get this fixed so they will be paid?

So are you saying that you need to correct a claim that has already been sent in and denied because the dates do not match? Is this a mistake of the DME supplier..(you I assume). Not trying to make you feel bad, really. Mistakes happen. Since this is a rental on a month to month, it will affect your payment. Have you tried calling the MAC and ask them how to correct the claim so that you will be paid.

It sounds like you intentionally have the date of service one day later than the delivery date. Is there a reason for that? Just wondering why the beginning date wouldn't be the same as the delivery date.
