coding post-op bleeder procedure.....help

Help.....

I'm at a loss and so is my provider.  I am needing to find a code for a return to the operating room to repair/cauterize a bleeder after a foot surgery (same day).  The only code that my provider can come up with is the delayed primary closure code (12041....12046 depending on size), but I'm just not sure.  It's not an I&D procedure because there's no infection.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I took a look in my Podiatry Coding Companion book, and the code series you are considering does match closest to the situation you have described. My concern though, is that the description of the code uses the word laceration, as opposed to describing a surgical site wound repair.
