: Finding Private Practices
: dfranklin September 22, 2010, 02:34:31 AM
What is a good way to find private practices, such as cardiology, orthopedic and gastroenterology groups rather than major health care organizations and their physician practices?  I think this is a better market to go after but not sure how to isolate and locate them....any suggestions?

Usually you can tell if a practice is associated with a large group or clinic by their ad in the yellow pages, or by their office.  Many times their sign will indicate if they are part of another organization.  Not always, but in most cases.  What type of marketing are you looking to do?

Sometimes you can get a good specialty breakdown by an insurance provider book, your own, a family members or even by getting them direct from the carriers, many of them are even online.
There are also several online services that allow you to seek physicians by specialty, geographical locations, etc.

Great Suggestions!  I am looking at sending out letters and follow up with phone calls and subsequent letters, educational material, etc.
