: MASSAGE THERAPY - NY WC & NF
: cconter May 11, 2010, 12:15:25 PM
Anyone have any experience billing New York WC & NF for massage therapy?  We are a chiropractic office that employes a massage therapist.  He wants to start billing WC & NF for massage therapy (cpt 97124). Web searches for billing protocol & fee schedules haven't been too successful.  It appears the only way to obtain the fee schedule is to purchase from Ingenix.  Any input/direction would be much appreciated!!

Hi cconter,

I did a little research and found this information for you. It is from 2005 and but I believe the information to still be valid and there is contact information provided. This would allow you to question any changes for 2010.

I hope it helps.  ;D

We have billed massage therapy for WC NF.  You use the pt codes (usually 97110, 97112, 97124 or 97140) and the pt fee schedule.  It varies depending on what part of the state you are in.  In our area they allow 4 units at $13.60 a unit.

Thanks Michele.  We are in Manhattan (New York County).  Which area are you located?
