SOP and Employee handbook
« on: April 15, 2009, 05:28:03 PM »
Does anyone have an SOP for a PT clinic or all disciplines to share?  I am also looking for an employee handbook.
Thanks

I don't think this is something any office should share with another. Each office should have their own Policies & Procedures, Compliance plan, and even employee policies in place. One shoe does not fit all. Also these take a lot of time and money to implement in the office, I highly doubt you will find an office willing to just turn them over.

Linda is right, each office is different.  If you could find a skeleton plan and then make it fit your office that would work but I'm not familiar with one like that.

When we wrote our employee handbook we made a list of things that were important to us (being on time) and things that were a problem (cell phone usage in the office) and then based our handbook around that list.  Of course adding in all the other issues like how time is calculated (if an employee signs in < 8 minutes after their start time we will go by the start time, but if they sign in 8 or more late we dock them in 15 minute intervals).  You will find you need to change/add to your employee handbook as things arise.
