How important is it that everything be perfect before seeking clients? I have the billing software and am working on a website but it is still in the infant stages. I want to begin seeking but I don't want to prematurely reach out and then not get clients because I don't seem professional enough.

As long as you have the essentials, you are compliant, and of course educated/experienced you don't have to wait on your website. You do want to have your compliance plan ready, software, fax, and secure office space ready of course.

Like Linda said, make sure your essentials are in place. But don't wait too long to start marketing. My pet peeve is the people who spend all the time getting their ducks lined up, then spend 5 minutes marketing and quit because it's too hard! The essentials are crucial, but then the next important thing is clients, not what pictures you hang on your walls in the office.
