I am currently in the middle of a billing/coding course, and need clarification on a question regarding coding of parial orchiectomy with surgical laparoscopy. Code 54690 states laparoscopy, surgical; orchiectomy. Would I then also code the parial orchiectomy as 54522, or would that be included with the laparoscopy code?

In regards to the question, I'm not 100% sure, I haven't done that particular code before but it sounds like (from the description you've given) that the 54690 includes the partial orchiectomy.
