Hi Michelle,

I work in a small chiro office.  I have your book Chiropractic Billing Made Easy and I would love any additional info you have available.

I have a question on G0283.  I was browsing on the Medicare website and I noticed that they do reimburse for this code.  So I called and they said that it has to be billed with modifier 59.  Is this really true, because when I called back to verify the next person I spoke to said they are not allowed to release that info.

Thank you, Cathy

When we come out with the modifier info we will contact you.

The G0283 code is reimbursable by Medicare, but not for chiropractors.  The only codes that Medicare will reimburse when billed by DC's are the 98940, 98941 & 98942 codes.  The person that told you that it's reimbursable should have looked into the type of provider asking.
