First, I love this forum! I get so much information every time I visit here!
My question: Dr. has both an individual and a group NPI. He wants to bring in another Dr. to his practice and that Dr. has his own individual NPI. What must be done for us to bill correctly?
Thank you!

Assuming all the leg work is done with the provider joining the group, (credentialing, tax id, etc) The individual providers name and NPI would be the"Rendering Provider" and the group practice’s NPI is reported as the "Billing Provider."

Thank you, Linda. That Dr has his own tax id, and is credentialed. So, it's simply a matter of reporting his individual NPI on the claim and our group ID for billing? Can it really be that simple?

ONLY if this provider was added to the group and all t's were crossed and all i's were dotted. :)
