hi,
i'm new to workers comp claims and was wondering if every wc carrier has a fee schedule?  if a dr is networked with that carrier, is he given a personal fee schedule upon signing up with that wc carrier? a dr. is asking me to look into his wc claims to appeal any that are underpaid or unpaid.

also, are some wc carriers commercial and some government run (i.e. medicare, med-cal)?  i found this website:   http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc      and wondered if they just provide guidelines for ALL wc carriers or only to a certain carrier.

this is so confusing and any info you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Workers comp fee schedules are determined by regions/areas.  They are set amounts, and aren't negotiated.
