« on: June 10, 2009, 02:17:54 PM »
I am interested in starting a retail store for breast cancer patients and would like to accept insurance payment for breast forms and prostesis. How can I do this and where do I start? Is this something anyone can do or do you have to have a license? PLEASE HELP!!

You probably should start with enrolling to be a Medicare supplier, but that requires certification.  Other than that, you should contact all of the larger insurance carriers to find out what they require to be an in network provider.

I handle the billing for a few breast prosthesis suppliers. One of them offers a franchise opportunity - you can check it out at www.w-h-b.com.
