Bundling
« on: August 17, 2008, 01:03:41 PM »
Hi

I work for a chiropractor, and I'm curious.  What is the most common bundling of codes that insurance companies do to chiropractors? And how do I get around it?   Thanks......................

We also bill for several chiropractors and bundling is very common.  The problem is that there is little chiropractors can do about it.  Most insurance carriers have rules for chiropractors that are different than other providers, such as they only allow a global fee, or only the manipulation codes.  Some will allow modalities, but only certain ones.  There is not a magic modifier you can use to prevent it.  It is simply the allowances for chiropractors.

If somebody else has any experience in this, please share!  :)

Thanks
