Thank you!!!!!!
« on: December 09, 2012, 11:01:39 AM »
Michelle and Alice (along with everyone else here!),

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the help you offer here and in your e-books.  I have purchased about 4 and about ready to purchase one more.  Because of you, I have just signed my very first client this week and have a meeting with someone else soon.  I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd sign someone within 1 week of finalizing everything for my business!

I can't wait to see where this goes :)

Thank you so much!

Honestly, I just replied to an ad on craigslist that wanted a biller.  I emailed them my resume, cover letter, then a letter that I made up offering my services.

This is also how I got a meeting set up for tomorrow for another potential client :)

Cmporter82 - when you have had a few clients for a while, and when you are not so hungry for business, you will have learned something that some of us know: sometimes it is better to walk away from a client that is nothing but trouble.

There are a number of sites on the internet where patients can rate their doctor.  If you do not know your new client, or know someone who knows him, you might check to see what his patients have to say aout him.

I completely agree!  I have already turned down one doctor (that would have been my first).  It was hard to do but I knew it'd be more trouble than it was worth.

This first client I have is great.  They are really amazing. I am so excited about the opportunity here!

And be sure to read ALL the reviews.  One bad apple can really write a bad review that may not be fair or balanced, and it's not easy for the doctor to please that particular person.  Bear in mind that when people are happy they don't tend to express that happiness, but when they are UNhappy they will complain loudly!

Congrats on snagging that first client!  And best of luck to you in all your endeavors!

I don't agree at all at looking at physicians ratings from online rating sites.. I have a GREAT client, he's a pediatrician, One of the BEST clients I've ever had. He had a patient who was unhappy about being sent to collections on an account over a year old and over $500 owed in COPAY's.  AT no point, EVEN thought he could have, he did NOT dismiss the patient. He kept seeing her 2 kids and even offered to arrange payments. She told him to "go to hell" to which point she went and bashed him on several physician rating places using different usernames..    MY own family physician went through an ugly divorce and his x wife went on those sites and made up reviews.   NO way would I look at those reviews to determine the client status with me. In fact, I'd have to say that would be downright unethical to do so. I KNOW the kind of client I'm signing SIMPLY by the questions they ask ME when I'm talking to them, how they react to such things as my setup fee, contract, etc.  And above all. .MY gut.. never fails me. :)    I'd never sign a client I couldn't shake hands with or look in the eye.

Linda, you're so right.  I wonder if some time in the future, people will quit airing their dirty laundry in a public forum?  It seems like everyone loves "social media" until something terrible happens.  Even the comment sections of our local newspaper and Yahoo don't require your TRUE name so you can say whatever you want with no repercussions.

Our office has several "sites" that WE never set up.  The information is incorrect and the reviews are fake.  We can "fix" it for a price.  Isn't that called extortion?

Actually the client whos x trashed him had his attorney send a letter. His attorney said they have to take it down, it's libelous.
