Cross over

Medicare does cross over claims to CCAH but nothing gets reached -- however there was corres from Nordian which states agreement is not set for this pt's Medicaid program;cross over acceptance not possible-- any help would be appreciated.

sounds as if you will have to submit the crossover claim yourself.

Many times the patient has to setup the cross over.. Have patient contact Medicare. I run across this all the time with a client who sees patients in nursing home, many of the times the cross over has not been established and that has to be done by the patient or their designated POA

It's usually noted on the EOB if a secondary crossover has been set up.  If there's no secondary noted, and you know the patient has a secondary, you'll have to submit it yourself.
