: Oxygen billing for Part A SNF for proof of clinically complexity of RUG score
: lightnrose November 16, 2009, 07:48:02 PM
Hi All I am new but I really need some help :-\ I am billing for small skilled facility and the oxygen is my clinical qualifier for my RUG score, but oxygen fall under the rev code 270, which is med suplies, which I already have other charges. Do I add another line with the same rev code or just add it in and wait for them to request notes?

Should be okay to lump into all other rev codes of 270.  Speaking of RUG means this is a Medicare PT.  Medicare will recognize the RUG rate which s/b listed on line 2 underneath the R&B charge as line item 0022 with your RUG stat listed to the right of that.
