Does anyone know if the insurance companies are generally reimbursing for use of this machine for chiropractic care?

Isn't that that cellulite machine? If so .. NO I am going to take a good guess that this is not covered. Chiropractors are using this?  ??? ??? ??? ???

Yes, it is the cellulite machine.  However, I believe this chiropractor is using in someway for arthritis, backpain treatment.  Thanks for your responses. I didn't think it was covered, but, wanted to check to see what anyone else knew about it.  Thanks.

Well give a chiropractor a stick and I'm sure they would find something they can use it for. LOL

That or Jello.

When I got into my car accident. The chiro I saw would see me every week and have me lay on a shiny machine then it would move up and down.  My back hurt the whole time I saw him.  The pain went away when I stopped going. I stopped because between him and his physical therapist, they went through my $10,000 PIP coverage in 3 months and my personal insurance wouldnt pay for the care.  I dont know what this machine was supposed to do but it didnt help at all.  I could have layed on a tire swing and obtained the same result.

Well plus they will want to know how they can get the insurance companies to PAY for the stick..
Obviously I'm not a fan of chiropractors.. I had one tell me when I was younger that my allergies would disappear if I went to him once a week. :o

At this late date this probably won't matter, but there are lots of different kinds of chiropractors.  Try going to one who considers himself a "mechanic".  That's what they're best at.  Getting the moving parts moving.  If they want to see you 3 times a week for the rest of your life RUN, if they want x-rays over and over RUN, if they don't want you to talk to any other doctor RUN, if they can "cure cancer" RUNNNNNNNN.

You should notice improvement in 5 visits.  If not the Chiropractor should be referring you to the appropriate P.T., Orthopedist, or Pain Management doctor.

The other guy to watch out for is the one who can "cure" you but it's going to cost $8000.00 (can we set you up on a payment plan, and will you sign this agreement?).  These guys give the good guys a bad name.

Patient's, use your common sense.  If it sounds hokey, it probably is.  If you have to sell your first born child, it's hokey.  We're a Blue Cross provider, and we get $22.41 for an adjustment.  We're limited to a certain number of visits depending on the patient's coverage.  We're not millionaires, and on $22.41 per visit, we never will be.  But we can look at ourselves in the mirror because we help our patients get better.

That's my side, and I'm sticking to it!

(P.S. I worked for the other kind for a short time.  Ugh.......I don't know how he sleeps at night.)
