Billing for LPC-IT

Can a provider bill for an intern under their NPI using a specific modifier.  provider is an LPC    the intern is an LPC-IT
Licensed Professional Counselor In Training.

If the LPC is in training and is being supervised by another provider the billing would be done under the supervising provider's name and NPI.

Keis1225:
What about once they are no longer interning, will they still bill under the LPC's NPI?  Or should they be using a group NPI?

Michele:
The LPCs individual NPI would go under rendering provider, the group NPI would go under billing provider.
