I don't think the smaller billing companies will be extinct at all. I think they will have to beef up their services to iinclude education. Very easy to blame just companies like Kareo for outsourcing overseas meanwhile where do you think they are getting their training and other resources here in US.. Yes that's right the Associations. So long as they keep educating offshore and taking their money we will have to work harder in educating providers on the risks involved. I've never been unsuccessful in talking a provider out of offshore. I use Kareo for two clients and it's NOT different than worrying about the other competitors out there. Non competes don't hold up in court so yeah we have to do a better job.

Offshore medical billing company are one which takes most care of the projects given to them by other medical companies. These companies have special coders who perform coding operations based on the guidelines and enhance the projects given by their clients.

I really should find an app or add in to copy and paste <sigh>     OFFSHORE companies are NOT held legally accountable to US federal regulations...THAT MEANS the US physician, the US billing company (covered entities and BA's) are left with full 100% responsibility and accountability for any breach of HIPAA or any other US federal regulation.   Does that sound productive to  you? Saving a few bucks sure isn't going to make up for the risk, just ask your insurance company and an attorney.

Linda,

Based on the grammar and such it is obvious these people (messijack and leivalucas) are working for offshore companies.  I'm not sure what they are doing on this forum or why they are trying to convince medical billers that outsourcing is okay.  We are billers, we are not going to hand over our clients to offshore companies.  I get it if this was a forum for doctors because some of them might bite but I don't think anyone here is going to think outsourcing to offshore companies is a good idea.

I completely agree..but look at it logically .. with SOME posts coming back on them with the simple facts makes them look inept even more so than their own grammar and spelling. :)   But as a moderator I have removed the OBVIOUS advertising posts.
