Getting started in coding
« on: December 23, 2011, 01:39:33 AM »
I am seeking advice from experienced coders.  I'm starting an RHIT program in January and
need to know if it will be possible to go into coding when I finish.  I am reading posts
that suggest I will have to start with receptionist work and "move up" to coding.
I would plan to take the CCS exam asap.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you mean will you be qualified to be a coder after completing the RHIT program?  If that is what you are asking I would think it would depend on the program, but in my opinion it would not be enough to qualify you as a coder.  There are programs for coding, that I would think would be much more intense than what would be covered in an average RHIT program.  All this is being said not knowing what the RHIT program you are taking will be covering.
