Noridian Medicare

Hello-
I have a doctor client that wants my billing company to do his Medicare billing. I am located in Seattle, and my doctor client is located in the SF Bay area. I have all his info (NIP#, P-tan # etc.). My question is: Can someone tell me the steps (and which website) I must go through in order to begin doing his Medicare billing? I apologize for asking such a basic question, but I've spent hours on the phone with Noridian, and they've given us some conflicting information, and my Dr. Client is getting angry. I've worked very hard obtaining this client and don't want to lose him. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Okay, his MAC is Noridian, like you mentioned. Website:
https://www.noridianmedicare.com/
Looks like he is Jurisdiction E, if we are talking about Part B billing for physicians.
Makes no difference where you are, you will send his Medicare claims to Noridian. So make sure whatever software and clearinghouse you are using is set up to send claims electronically to Noridian, Jurisdiction E.

Thank You Kristin, we've gotten that far, but...where do I imput the information in order to for Noridian to begin accepting claims through my clearinghouse, rather than directly from my doctor client??

You need to talk to your clearinghouse and get all the paperwork to them.Sounds like you will be using a different CH so check to see if he has to file paperwork to remove himself from his CH. Sounds weird doesn't it that this can vary according to the MAC.
Experience tells me that once a doctor hands over his billing he expects the check the next day. Hope you told him that it may take a bit of time.
