What's the best way to learn the coding for a specialty that I haven't billed for previously?

Thanks,

Tom

Well, what is the specialty?  Many times posting it will bring tips from others who have done that specialty.  In my opinion, an experienced biller can pick up a specialty they haven't previously done by doing a little research and getting the main points/tips from other experienced billers who have done that specialty.

Do you mean "Coding" or "billing" ? they are different.  A biller should be familiar with codes and interpreting them for billing purposes, but really only a qualified coder or provider should be doing the actual coding.
