: Billing Secondary claims

Hi,

Is there any way that to file a claim to secondary insurance without primary insurance eob or Any way to have the primary insurance payment details included on the CMs-1500 while filling claims to secondary? The reason being that our client never stored/scanned the primary insurance EOB's. And as far as i know...claim will be rejected for missing primary insurance EOB.

Thanks in advance.

No, you will have to obtain a copy of the primary carriers EOB.

Secondary paper claims cannot be filed without the eob.

If you file the secondary claim electronically it is done without the primary eob, but it is a problem not to have a copy.  Sometimes they will request it even when filed electronically, and copies of eobs are important to keep.

Not yet... But yes...this is last option we have to call each carrier & request for EOB's for approx. 500 plus claims.

Thanks Everyone for the contribution.

How do you lose EOB's for 500 claims?

Faxing overseas to India will do it every time.
