I have heard that 2014 is the last year to report PQRS on claims? That beginning in 2015, PQRS must be reported via a certified EHR, a registry, or a group practice reporting option (GPRO). I have read this on several sites such as:
http://pimsyehr.com/resources/pqrs/275-aap-com-pmu-cdb-making-sense-of-pqrs-for-mental-behavioral-health
But does anyone have a link for CMS stating this?
thanks!

CMS published a proposed rule for PQRS in the 7-11-14 edition of the Federal Register. The period for public comments closed on 9-2-14. CMS will publish a final rule on or about 11-01-14. The basic outline of the proposed rule is in this pdf document:
http://www.cms.gov/Outreach-and-Education/Outreach/NPC/Downloads/NPC-07-24-14-2015-PropRule.pdf
Notice the blue box at top right of Page 6: CMS does not propose a change to claims ... for PQRS at this time.
Notice the top of the blue box on the right side of Page 7: Remove Claims-based only reporting options for new measures ... Remove Claims-based reporting option from measures groups.
These are proposed changes. We will not know whether they are incorporated into the Final Rule until on or about 11-01-14.
