: Billing for Beta Blockers 4115F

Does anyone know how to bill for a beta blocker 24hrs prior to surgery?  Are their any modifiers or diagnosis codes that need to go on the claim, does it get billed with the surgery claim?

I did a google search and found so much info that I didn't know.  Thanks for posting.  I am not familiar with this and would rather not answer even from my search but evidently this needs to be documented if you did or did not administer the drug.  Please post if you or anyone knows the answer. It is all about medical protocols.  So is the patient admitted a day before the procedure.  I would doubt that they would be given an RX and told to take "this pill" before this major surgery.
