United Health Care 2nd
« on: April 07, 2009, 04:56:49 PM »

??? Is there anyone out there that bills to United Heath Care? I have a question about how they do their E.O.B's and how they change my global payments to professional and technical. Basically, they change everything that i bill to suite their needs. I know they are out sourced out of the country. So im really trying to find out if they dont have to go by our laws. Is anyone else having this happen to them? if so, how do you handle them?

for example for processing E.O.B: they will not show patient responsibility in the demographics area of the eob. its shows patient as having no responsability 0.00. but they will state in the remark code, patient is responsible for balance after Medicare has paid.

example for billing global (as primary): we bill procedure as global. when i recieve the eob, they have changed it to tc and pc and showing a different charged amount.

Can they do this?

I did encountered this issue couple of times and when you call them, on a first place they give illsuive information. and you fight them, or talk to their supervisors, do release correct information or send claim back for manual review.

Thanks,
