I have contacted them about a Demo.....if they give me that I will let you know. What I saw on the web wasn't enough for me to decide to purchase them.

Total MD has better prices and does the same thing Advanced MD does they are all spinoffs from MediSoft. Total MD also offers web based software or you can but it outright for your computer.

AdvanceMD is definitely not a spinoff of Medisoft.  They are both medical billing/practice management programs - but that is where the comparison stops.  TotalMD offers both a server based and .asp based system - but the downfall is that they charge a per user monthly fee.  If you are logging in and you are also having your client login, the monthly minimum charge for this alone will be $200.  There are other .asp programs that allow for unlimited access.  Yes, you might have a small upfront investment for unlimited users (logins) - but in the long run it's much less expensive.

This is true and one of the reason I have chosen not to go with them. NOT to knock the product, but I'm not looking to spend more for the same.

I was looking at Total MD software and it only cost $99. I was thinking why it so cheap. Has anyone used it before? Can anybody give me their feedback please.

This seems like a perfect place for my first post on the forum.
I've been using AdvancedMD for about 3years now.
Our company made a very firm decision to keep up with only AdvancedMD until something radically changes for the worst.
AdvanceMD is a front end scheduler for the provider as well as a backend for us billers.
I wont go into the details but the software and tech support is awesome. They do charge us arm and a leg and that is the worst part of the deal. Other than the price, it's the best of the best.

I'm not familiar with TotalMD, but usually if they are that cheap they are more of a form filler software then a practice management system.  See what the capabilities are for posting payments, creating reports, etc.

You pay for what you get...

99.00 is for single users, if you have someone working with you...this package won't work!

May I get Feedback regarding CollaborateMD. As they are offering software with EMR interface.
and I would like to know that for Pediatrics practice Collaborated MD will be fine or not.

Got response from Advanced MD stating there are chances that billing companies who are using AdvancedMD Software may loose business.

I don't use the product, but if you contact them they should be able to answer all your questions. One thing about their webpags is they do have a detailed price listing as opposed to other ones.

CollaborateMD is very good and I hear their support is great. They have been around a while (they used to be ClaimsGear)

I love TotalMD. I have used several different softwares. Total MD is my favorite so far. I use the web based. It is very nice and user friendly. The 99 a month worked perfect for me. You can have different users login, just not at the same time for the 99 a month. They are the people that made medisoft. But they went out and done their own thing and it is very nice.

I have used medisoft, mpm soft, healthfusion, and totalmd.  I hate mpm soft. I used to think it was nice, but customer service is horrible and I am still having problems posting claims electronically. Mpm soft was and is a huge regret and it is not got great features. I am almost completely done with them.  I have tried several online demos of web based also, and Total Md, I feel is the best. It is a very nice system. Don't let the price fool you. If I could go back, I would have chose this from the begining for all my drs.

I use Collaborate MD and love it!  They use a sliding scale for pricing, so the more Dr's you have, the less it will be per month.  I am currently in the process of starting my own billing/practice management company and will be using them.

I have used Medisoft. I love it. Medisoft is very easy to use and I think it is very good choice for the 1-5 provider practices

I started using Medisoft in 1999 when I first started but I personally think it has really tanked over the years as the company has changed hands.  The direction they are going just scares me, but it certainly still has some redeeming qualities.  I have never used CollaborateMD with an actual client but I did try the demo and it was one of the least user friendly programs I have ever used.  I hated the extra steps necessary just to search for patients.  Maybe the actual program is different from the demo but the demo was enough to scare me away.  Right now my favorite is TotalMD but I'm continually trying new programs since I use so many different ones for my clients.

TotalMD is similar to Medisoft. The product is not as mature as Medisoft, yet it has many strengths including strong technical support and interconnectivity to other products and electronic services. For users that prefer a web-based solution, TotalMD also offers a very reasonably priced ASP model.

I always go back to Kareo and Collaborate MD, two things I look for in a software vendor is support and their ability to STAY on top in such an ever changing industry. CollaborateMD and Kareo BOTH engage their users using social media and some of their articles are awesome. Recently CollaborateMD announced a new version and It def has me looking. http://www.ereleases.com/pr/collaboratemd-introduce-central-business-intelligence-feature-cloud-software-january-14-96622  Because I do MORE consulting than billing reports are absolutely essential and this looks very interesting indeed.

We have members that use both of these softwares and I've yet to hear any negative feedback. Not that I'm negating any of the others we discussed (aside from Medisoft <wink> ) Just these two always stay on my top list to watch.

That looks like it will be awesome.  One of my biggest complaints with TotalMD is their custom report writer is not easy to use.  It is awesome in that you can make any report you want but it is not easy for the normal person like me to do it.  Although there are tons of reports in the system, if I need anything really custom then it has to be done by TotalMD directly and that is kind of a bummer but the advantage is they can do anything.  I would love to have something that would allow me to easily do my own custom reports.  Now if only the rest of the CollaborateMD software was any good.  In my opinion CollaborateMD is one of the least fast/user friendly programs I have tried.
