Where to Start?

Hi everyone. New to the site/forum.
Just need some suggestions on where/how to actually start a medical billing/claims processing business from my home. I know I need certification, the books, and software. But there are so many places I can get these from, seperately. I need to find a place that I can get these resources, at least some of them, without paying an arm or a leg for them.

I have no experience in this field of healthcare. I know there are certain forms I need, business insurance, business license, etc. The medical software is my main concern. Is that one of the things that I will have to pay for seperately? I already have home office setup.

Any suggestions or advice? Appreciate it. Thanks

I personally would avoid the "package deals".  IMO they are not usually worth the money.  They usually either lack in the training, or are just overpriced.  You definitely need to get your PM software before you can start and that is one of the biggest costs.  There are free or very inexpensive softwares out there but you get what you pay for.  Changing systems down the road can be costly and a terrible headache.  You also need to have a compliance plan and a contract.  Read thru a lot of the older posts and you will find a wealth of information.
