: Medicare and Day Treatment program

Hi Michele,

Is there a way to bill for Substance Abuse Day Treatment program (3.25 hours a day) to Medicare? We normally use H2012, but that's not allowed by Medicare. We tried 90899 Unlisted psychiatric service/therapy with medical records, and that didn't work either.

I do not believe that it is covered by Medicare but I would either search the NCD's or LCD's or call Medicare and ask.
